About The Island

Bali is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, every year millions of tourist visits this island. But what is so special about this charming place? Well if you ask me, it is because of the culture, nature and the people.

The island has thousands of temples and traditional rituals, ceremonies as a part of the normal life. Some of the top attractions in Bali is the cultural center of Ubud, with it's art galleries, temples, and rice terraces; the sacred sea temple of Tanah Lot; offers a wide range of activities for visitors like surfing, diving, snorkeling, hiking, cycling and yoga. Also I must say that you will have a lot of option for transportation. You can rent a car, motocycle, bike or you can use public transportation.

I wanted to put this to the list of things you should know about Bali. The first thing I noticed while travelling this charming island is people, they are really nice and warm. They care about hospitality. I think for them family relations is the most important thing. They also care about friendships and neighbour relationships. But as we speak of it's good sides there is also a bad side of it like it has in everywhere. We came across thefts a couple of times, if you don't want a bad experience, it is better to keep your phone in your pocket.

In some places you should be careful for dress codes. Most of the times when entering a sacred place, temples both men and women should wear clothing that covers their shoulders and knees. Usually they give you sarongs and sashes in the entrance. If you have your own, you can bring them. Additionally it's custmery to remove hats and shoes before entering too. Don't forget to be respectful for the locals.

Hope this short writing was usefull for you. Enjoy your travels.
