Hello Dear Travelers!
Today, I'll tell you about the Monkey Forest, a mystical paradise not only famous for the beauty of Bali but also for its adorable residents. This place is not just a forest; it's a reflection of Bali's cultural and natural riches.
Where is the monkey forest in Bali?
Located within walking distance of the center of Ubud, Monkey Forest offers easy access to visitors.
As you step into Monkey Forest, you feel like entering a magical world. The colossal stone faces welcoming you at the entrance make it feel like an ancient temple. However, the real magic begins as you delve into the life within the forest.
This sacred space hosts a large population of long-tailed macaques, with approximately 1260 monkeys residing in the area. Monkeys wandering among the trees, playing games, and surprising you by looking into your eyes truly bring this forest to life. Watching the little ones playfully swinging from branches and the adults curiously observing you transports you to another world.
While interacting with these cute monkeys, it's essential to be careful, especially about hiding food. Monkeys are quite creative and successful in their food hunts.
As you wander through the forest, you might find yourself lost among ancient temples and exploring mysterious tunnels. The temples remind you that this place is not only a home to monkeys but also a part of ancient Hindu culture.
